Here I am at 21 weeks, and while it doesn't look like it from my last picture, am seriously stretching out here! I am still enjoying myself and this time and really can't complain. The baby is kicking, or swimming laps, as I like to think of it, and those are the most exciting times for me. If he is really really patient, Eric is able to feel the kicks once in while, but just thinks it's a "muscle spasm" he's very funny!
Next week Tuesday is the big day...the answer to the big question...boy or girl? Will there be HOT PINK in my future? My guess is no...I'm really feeling like it's probably a boy...but what do I know? Next Tuesday will put it all to rest. Hot pink or not, I am so excited to get the nursery ready and really make it feel like we are going to be welcoming a baby into our home soon.
In other news, I accepted a promotion at work last week, and effective May 5, I will be a Foster Care Supervisor. I will supervise seven staff and have to learn how to balance and effectively do a whole new job, while working with what feels like half a brain. I am excited and am looking forward to this new endeavor.
And just for those of you who are wondering, YES, I am wearing short sleeves, and it's not just because I'm inside with the heat on, it really is that warm! When I was driving home today, the thermostat said 76 degrees, which is fantastic! There are flowers everywhere and the trees are finally budding. I love spring...and how I've missed it while we were in Arizona.

Where do I start? First - you look so beautiful! You've got that pregnancy glow and your belly is gorgeous. From the shape of your belly, I'm predicting a boy too. And congrats on the promotion! You will make a fantastic supervisor (even with half a brain). (wink)
Who says you can't decorate a boy's room with HOT PINK??? I carried Joshua and Eli so differently ... I was SURE Eli was a girl ... but BLUE reigns in our house! At Build a Bear .. the Hot Pink bear is J How's favorite. I haven't let him make it yet because I'm sure Ben might have a STRONG opinion on that one ... but he hugs that bear every time we go :) Can't wait to find out :)
I love watching you grow. :) You look so great, Ann! It's true about the baby moving around. So crazy! Nowadays when I stop to watch him kicking my tummy around, it seems that every time I call to Kevin to watch, Baby stops. As soon as Kevin looks away, Baby starts up again. It's really funny! Sounds like it's true for you too. Just tell Eric not to move... glue his hand to your tummy for as long as it takes. :)
And congratulations on your new promotion! Way to go!
